If you plan on doing your own vulcanizing, let us supply the belt with the plies already stepped down. We'll carefully prepare the belt to assure you have trouble-free installation.

Vulcanized Endless

For the smoothest operating, longest lasting splice, allow us to hot vulcanize your belt endless. Each ply is stepped down, and the splice area is of uniform thickness with the rest of the belt.

Finger Splice and Multi-Finger Splice

Tremendously strong, yet flexible splice. Die cut "fingers" create one of the most durable splices available. For multi-ply belts, the fingers are staggered on each ply, increasing the strength of the splice even further.

Stitched Splice

Sewing the ends of cotton and transmission belting creates a strong splice that is capable of negotiating small pulleys and reverse bends. An economical, quality splice.

Longitudinal Splice

To create a belt of almost any width, utilize one or more longitudinal splices. These splices along the entire length of the belt are extremely difficult to perform without creating ripples or doglegs or bows. EX-Cel can longitudinally splice most any type of belt, including those with cover impressions.

Folded Edges and Molded Edges

Specialty finishes for applications where the plies of the belt must be protected at the edges of the belt. Folded edges create a smooth surface from the top of the belt around the edges to the bottom cover.

Molded edges involve vulcanizing rubber to the edge of the belt, sealing the plies inside.

Both of these applications are ideal for applications where chemicals or bacteria could attack the fabric of the plies, or for applications where the edges of the belt are subject to high wear.
