Special Fabrications
Custom Covers and Laminations
For your most rugged applications, a urethane cleated belt might be the solution. Urethane cleats are cut, abrasion and impact resistant. Urethane "I" cleats are available 1/2" to 6". Urethane rectangular cleats are the toughest around.
Specialty Chevron Cleated Belts
Roofers' Belt
Scrap Metal Belt
These heavy-duty chevron cleated belts face some of the toughest conditions of any belt. Roofers' belts feature chevron cleats (often slit) used to move loose roofing material to the top of buildings. Taller stub cleats are often interspersed along the belt to move larger bundles like shingles and sheet rock. Scrap metal belts see even worse conditions. Thick chevrons must stand up to the cuts and abrasion caused by ragged pieces of metal.
Corrugated Sidewall Belting
For the ultimate in high-incline or high-capacity conveying, look to a corrugated sidewall belt. These unique belts convey on inclines up to and including 90°! EX-Cel can fabricate corrugated sidewalls from 1" to 5" tall, with or without cleats. Operated horizontally, a corrugated sidewall belt can be used as a feeder belt.
Die Cut/Punched Parts
Many parts can be made from belting material utilizing our precision punch press and dies. Materials including plied rubber, PVC, gum rubber, skirtboard rubber and urethane can all have parts punched from them.
Urethane Specialties
Urethane is the material of choice when is comes to moving sharp, abrasive materials. Urethane can be used to cover a belt with a "suit of armor" or for the toughest jobs, a wire mesh is impregnated and covered with urethane. These types of belts are found in recycling plants, steel coil wrappers and other abusive applications.
Urethane can also be molded into almost any shape —- including cleats and pegs to bolt into the belt.
Perforations
From elevator belts to vaccuum belts to filtration belts, EX-Cel provides perforated and punched belts with accurately spaced, smooth holes. We have dies for most of the common hole patterns, custom dies are available.
