Cleats

To convey up steep inclines, nothing beats a cleated belt. EX-Cel has a cleated belt for most every application in a wide variety of profiles and compounds. We can hot vulcanize cleats for an almost indestructible bond, economical cold bond cleats, or for the most rugged applications, custom mold urethane cleats.

"I" Cleats

For the majority of high incline conveying applications. "I" cleats are available in black SBR, black oil resisting nitrile, black and white butyl and white FDA.
Molded right into the belt surface, these cleats stand up to most any application. Hot vulcanized cleats are much stronger than cold bonded cleats. For rugged applications, beefy cleats are available with a thickness that is twice that of our standard "I" cleats, or steel bars can be molded into the cleat to counter the forces of a particular application.
"I" cleats come in heights from 1/2" to 5".

"C" Cleats

To convey on steeper inclines than is possible with "I" cleats, a "C" cleat may be the answer. Available in 1", 2" and 3" heights, this uniquely angled cleat is a terrific problem solver.

"I" Cleats

Economical cleats for applications involving chemicals, oils or water. Comes in black or white FDA compounds.

Bulk PVC Cleats

For fabricating your own cleated belt, we supply extruded PVC cleats. The cleating material comes in 100 foot lengths.

High-Incline PVC Cleats

Aggressive scoop profile for higher inclines. Vulcanized cleat is FDA approved for food handling and is available in 2", 2 1/2", or 3" heights.

Curved PVC Cleats

Cleats are attached to the belt on a 30° or 45° angle to create a "bucket" for conveying foods up an incline. Cleats up to 3" can be attached in the scoop configuration.

Urethane Cleats

For your most rugged applications, a urethane cleated belt might be the solution. Urethane cleats are cut, abrasion and impact resistant. Urethane "I" cleats are available 1/2" to 6". Urethane rectangular cleats are the toughest around.
